(1752-1885)
Buddhist Temple bell that was used in a Buddhist Wat. This 19th century bell is exceedingly rare especially because the original clapper is still intact and the Buddhist inscription carved into the outside of the bell can still be read. Most old bells are missing the clapper and the inscriptions are no longer visible. Also, this bell is very heavy with nice thick walls and still has a beautiful tone. Bells like this are still used in Buddhist Wats (temples) throughout Southeast Asia and are also used by monks during religious ceremonies and festivals. This magnificent piece is a must have for any serious collector or devout Buddhist practitioner. It will look splendid in your home office or temple.
